From Passion to Legacy: Celebrating Mr. Lucky Sunday Oghuvwu’s Induction into the NAPPS Hall of Fame


Greatness is rarely accidental — it is built through sacrifice, consistency, and an unshakable dedication to purpose. Such is the life story of Mr. Lucky Sunday Oghuvwu, an educator whose journey has inspired many and transformed countless lives.

At the NAPPS (National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools) Hall of Fame Award Night, Mr. Oghuvwu was officially inducted into the Hall of Fame for his unwavering commitment to educational development in Delta State. This award stands as a well-deserved recognition of a man who has spent decades shaping young minds and building educational institutions that stand as beacons of excellence.

📘 Humble Beginnings — Teaching Under an Umbrella Tree


Born on 18th June 1972 in Abraka, Delta State, Mr. Oghuvwu attended Garrison Army Children School, Minna, and later Army Day Secondary School, Minna.

While awaiting admission into higher institution, his passion for teaching could not be suppressed. Without a classroom or formal structure, he began a group tutorial for Nursery and Primary learners under the umbrella tree in his father’s compound — a defining moment that laid the foundation for his lifelong calling.

🎓 Academic Excellence & Teaching Career


1997–2000:
Studied English/French at Niger State College of Education and graduated with Second Class Upper.

Worked as a French teacher at Federal Government College Staff School, Minna.

Relocated to Warri in 2002, teaching French and Literature at Warri City College, Winners Academy, and Arolly Commercial Secondary School.

🏫 Birth of Little Angels’ Academy (LAA)


In 2008, Mr. Oghuvwu founded Little Angels’ Academy at No. 5 Agba Road, Okere-Urhobo.
A second branch was opened in Ubeji (2015), and by 2021, he secured full Delta State Government Approval License under the name Les Petits Anges Nursery/Primary School.

🎓 A Scholar at Heart: Never one to stop learning


2019–2022: Earned a First Class Honours in English Language from King’s University, Ode Omu.
Currently pursuing his Master’s Degree at Adeleke University, Ede.

✍️ A Prolific Writer & Cultural Voice


Mr. Oghuvwu is also a celebrated literary figure, with works across the three major genres of literature. His writings have appeared in notable anthologies such as:
Dancesteps at Dawn (1997)
Gems out of Africa (1998)
Mr. Culture (Monsieur la Culture) — a bilingual play published in 2000
Tales from Ethiope — a children’s story collection published in 2021

🙏 A Man of Faith & Family


Beyond education and literature, he is a pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). He is happily married to Mrs. Dupe Tracy Oghuvwu, and their union is blessed with children.
